Don’t Let APRIL 1st fool you!

Look at this billboard, isn’t it brilliant?!

On my way home, I saw this billboard: “APRIL”. I looked twice, and saw the L signed! No, this is not a sign for the deaf
community
, nor for baby sign language classes. This is a promotional billboard for FOX studios. Right here in Los Angeles, Southern California.

Signing comes as naturally, and anyone can do it! It is iconic and simple! I have witnessed children signing taking sign language classes, or not. With stay-at-home mommies or working parents. Sign Language is everywhere!

Today, look around, can you find Sign Language in your daily routine, on your home? Point it to your children and share this special moment.
Let the Sign Shine!

Thanks for sharing, Etel! I can't help but think Los Angeles was sunny today^_^.

The "L" reminded me immediately of some thing I had seen on television... then I remembered the previews for "gLee" which is featured on FOX.

That L in the word gLee stuck out in my head as it too had the letter sign L. Nice branding, FOX.^_^

When asked to look around and find Sign Language in our daily routines, it reminded me of a time I met a group of international students from Japan taking English classes near by in Spokane, WA. They explained that as a group, they were only here for a few months. As I took a picture for them, the majority of them signed the sign for "I Love You."

They expressed how they had learned what the sign meant before coming to the states I believe. My children were there to witness this group of very energetic college students sign "I Love You."

Thanks again for sharing!
