Teach Baby Sign Language: How to Sign Mother's Day!

The first time your baby says mom is so special, and the first time she signs MOM is even more amazing!!

We would love you to share with us pictures and videos of YOUR baby signing MOMMY, or even making the approximation to the sign. So sweet!!

I want to share with you a short video of my son when he was 16 months old, signing to his sister, 4 1/2 years old: MAMA!!

Enjoy These sweet little kids who sign MOMMY; and send us YOUR picture:

Happy Mother's Day !

It is so amazing that children can use sign language to communicate, even at such a young age. Children are so impressionable and learn so easy by copying what they see. I love how you post examples of sign, after seeing the above photos I cannot wait to teach my son how to sign mommy.

Etel, your children are so adorable!! I love that your daughter reads to your son and that your children are able to communicate with each other, even though your son has yet to be able to form words like "rhinoceros" (though, let's be honest, it's a difficult word!).

The best thing about this video is that your cute daughter is teaching her little brother to sign the words in the book. I like how she corrects his signs and essentially is teaching him how to speak with his hands. I think it's amazing that he is able to "read" the book at such a young age! He seems so intelligent and I'm sure he'll grow up to be even more so! :)
